For more than 20 years the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo suffers from conflict. People living in rural areas have experienced fighting and looting, fear and displacement. Many families had to restart their home and life several times. Incredible resilience!

The international NGO World Vision works in the region of Rutshuru to help the population with a rehabilitation program and to provide sustainability. In Rutshuru I met Dina and Jean-Pierre who told me their story. Great to see how children enjoy everyday life even under difficult circumstances.
